Music Fund and Steinway & Sons become partners

Music Fund and Steinway & Sons are proud to announce the new cooperation agreement signed in January 2025. The renowned manufacture of fine grand and upright pianos will support the organisation with good quality second-hand pianos which Music Fund can sell in order to finance its projects with music schools and social initiatives in developing countries and conflict regions as well as social-artistic projects in Europe. Music Fund on the other hand will donate at least once a year a good quality piano – delivered by Steinway & Sons – to one of its projects.

This is wonderful news Music Fund could only dream of at the beginning of its 20th anniversary (2005-2025)!

Another important partner of Music Fund is Griffioen Transport, specialised in the transportation of grand and upright pianos, who will ensure a professional collection of the donated pianos from the Steinway distributors. The instruments will be sold by Piano Auctions, also partner of Music Fund. The next online auction will take place on April 1, 2025.

Daniel Barenboim – artist-ambassador of Music Fund, as well as Steinway Artist – is very happy as well about this new partnership.

Guido Zimmermann, President Steinway & Sons, says: “We are proud to support this important organisation which gives so many young people in conflict zones, developing countries and further disadvantages environments the chance to practice music. It has always been and will remain our commitment to spread the joy of music because music is a universal language, it connects people and knows no borders”.
